This listing is for a Quad 99 pre-amplifier, a highly-regarded component from a legendary British audio manufacturer. The unit is in good working order and includes its original remote control.There are some minor marks on the paintwork see photos.

Technical Features:

  • Integrated Phono Stage: The pre-amplifier features a high-quality, built-in phono stage with selectable settings for both Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) cartridges. This provides flexibility for vinyl enthusiasts.

  • Unique Tone Controls: The Quad 99 features a unique "Tilt" control, which subtly adjusts the entire tonal balance, pivoting around the midrange without introducing coloration. It also includes a low-frequency filter and bass boost. All tone controls can be bypassed for a pure signal path.

  • Connectivity: This unit has three line-level RCA inputs, a dedicated tape loop, and a phono input. It also features the proprietary QuadLink bus, which allows for seamless system control when paired with other Quad 99 series components.

  • Remote Control: The original remote is included and fully functional. Crucially, some of the advanced features, such as the tone controls and input sensitivity, are only accessible via the remote.

Condition:

Cosmetically, the unit is in good condition with one notable blemish: there is a visible rub mark on the top right-hand side, near the front.
