Transcriptor Saturn Turntable Sweep Arm Transcriptor The Arm Universal

Regular price £1,025.00
Transcriptor Saturn vintage retro classic turntable complete with Transcriptor "The Arm" tonearm and the rarely seen Transcriptor "Universal Sweep Arm". The turntable has just had a new drive belt. It runs well on 33 and 45 and the arm tracks well. A Shure M75ED Type II cartridge is fitted and it is playing well but stylus hours are unknown. The turntable is listed as "for parts" simply because it is a vintage piece with original electronics and those pressing the unit in to regular use might wish to modernise the electrics to bring it in line with modern safety standards.

We can ship this turntable worldwide and will do so with care. We have many years of experience shipping turntables.

The Saturn was introduced in 1968 by Transcriptors (UK) as the company’s first model to feature a sprung-chassis with adjustable isolation feet. The plinth stiffness could be tuned, and a newly designed tonearm was included as standard.
It is a belt-drive turntable, with the platter driven via a belt from a synchronous motor. The design is distinctive, with partially exposed mechanics, visible platter weights in some versions, and a floating chassis supported by springs.
