The SME 3009 tonearm was fitted with a detachable headshell using SME's bayonet-type connector, allowing quick cartridge changes and compatibility across several SME arm variants of the period. This raised-logo headshell is an early Series II type, also compatible with the Series II Improved and 3012 tonearms.
