This is a 90g counterweight for the SME 3009 Series II Improved tonearm, threaded to screw onto the arm's Spider carrier. It is intended for use with high-compliance cartridges, balancing bare cartridge weights of roughly 2-6g or cartridge-and-headshell combinations of around 8.5-12.5g.
