The short-pole yoke is a component of the SME 3009 Series II Improved tonearm, distinguished from the long-pole yoke fitted to the earlier Series II by its shorter pole length. It also fits the SME 3012 Series II Improved. The pole accepts the bias weight cord, with the weight attaching directly to it.
